Disappointment is made by expecting too much.

I’ve come to see that disappointment comes with what I like to call “false optimism”, and what others mistakenly call “optimism”. People (myself included) like to be optimistic right up until something bad happens. Then they get disappointed, turn their back on positivity and call themselves fools for ever thinking otherwise…
… But in my opinion, THAT is the true test of your optimism: it’s easy to be positive while everything is going your way. It’s hard to stay positive when shit happens.
ALWAYS be optimistic. Always… And no disappointment will ever come. 🙂
(people also like to call that “delusional thinking”… but let’s face it, does it really matter, as long as you’re making yourself happier?)-
Yeah. In short, too much expectations, and then reality smacks you upside the head. Agreed for the “bright side” attitude!
